Good work Munsey, putting her out of misery. Poor old girl....
Just as well with you using a 270 then ay :D
Interesting thread....I have never come across a sick deer myself but have shot a couple that were clearly not going to make next winter due to poor condition/no teeth... even salami wasnt good.
The old man reconed he shot a few that had TB back in the day over Marlborough way but truth be told they could have had whatever yours had as at the time TB was the big thing (excuse to 1080) in the public eye so anything that didnt look healthy "had TB"

You certainly did it a favour Munsey
It would piss you off a bit to shoot a deer then walk all the way over to find it look like this. Bugger!
It wasn't the neighbours poodle was it?
:D
sickly sweet smell could be associated with urine -in which case one would suspect a major kidney malfunction /shutdown which untreated is rapidly fatal.the wasting etc could as suggested previously arising from this .
i must offer you thanks for humanely euthanising a distressed animal-more than any fucking vegan would probably do!
