Slip on a River - River is used as a track

Nice slip on a river with lots of grassy bits...

The walking route the the hut in the valley is down the river - how is the deer use of the slip for feeding effected by people walking past.

    Not a high traffic route.

well deer might just pick non busy times to use slip...or feed at night...it will be one of those places that you "will shoot a deer there one day" and one day it will happen if you keep looking....if nothing else it will be good place to sit up wind of for last half hour of light. before retreating to hut.

Younger deer won’t care and havnt learnt

The older smarter ones will be more cautious and only visit when fully dark or 10 mins at first and last light

Not sure - we didn't go and have a good look around the base of the slip in case our scent buggered it up.

Not sure if you can see in the photo but there is a game trail across one of the slips...

Only thing I would add is to not sit too close. Better to be 180 mtrs or so away from where the action is expected in a concealed spot with a good rest

That slip looks kind of familiar, I think it might have been on an episode of NZ Hunter Adventures (and they shot a deer on it).
