I am trying to Decipher what you have posted

You are looking for a private hunting block where you can shoot an animal for $150.
At a guess you may be able to get a "meat" animal for $150 but id suggest you'd be pissing in the wind to get anything with any sort of head for $150.

I think he's talking of South Head as in Woodhill Forest, rather than any 'head' on an animal.

South Head hunting blocks, rather than South head-hunting blocks. Grammar is important.

There are some farms up Southhead that do facilitate what you are looking for. I don't know which they are but it shouldn't be too difficult for you to track them down. Perhaps start with contacting the Woodhill Fallow Management Committee. I am sure they would know of someone.

There was a guy called Ross Exler who had a property you could pay to hunt Fallow on. This was going back about 5 years I had a couple of trips there and shot a couple of animsls Check in the advertiser section in NZ Guns that is where I saw his advert. Or try googling.

I'm going to see if I can make contact and do a week day hunt as a break from work. Have a new rifle that needs blooding as well.

Doubt it. There are that many people in Auckland who are desperate for a deer that he's probably booked out.

he seems to be relatively free. Not butchered at all and unless you take your own 4wd it will be $300+.

the way i look at it is that how much organic, free range meat could i buy for $300 plus having a fun experience. You would get your monies worth. Butchering is always fun too.

Or you could spend the $300 on gas and food for two of three weekend trips into some doc block. Not guaranteed an animal, but it's not all about harvesting animals.
