    South Opuha hut

    Hey guys ill like to know if anyone here has walk to s opuha hut and can point me on a good route to get there , i have been at the top in sugar loaf but looks pretty skechy the way down .
    Any pointers will be highly apprecieted !!

    Very sketchy all the way, 1000m bluffs you can't see because of the scrub, same scrub is hiding the lions and tigers, river runs at about 400 cumecs, and there are no deer or Tahr anyway. Hut is not where the map says (and there's a possum in the water tank), save yourself the trouble and go Clements Rd instead.

    And apparently the new (10 year old) hut ISN'T in same place as the old one was....so I would have gone to wrong place and spent a night out under stars AGAIN up there....happened twice up there over the years,both times going to where old hut was lol.

    I change the possum once a month, gimmie a shout before you go up next, and I'll skip a cycle just for you
