always keep down wind from the deer
That's what I've been doing wrong! No idea about hellfire but white tail in general, find a good possies looking into the wind and wait for it to go darkQuote:

Went there a few year ago. Didn't know what I was doing then (still don't really) but patience is the best tactic once you find a spot. Only ones we saw were eyes in the headlights on the way back to bivy, or flashs of white arse as they disappeared into the scrub
Working on getting back down sometime soon I hope. Was going last year, but everyone bailed
