There is a cougar living 2 doors down from me. My flatmate has had a few shots with her-was luckily to escape. I avoid getting to close as she has large claws and is on the prowl lately. ;)
Linyera that puts our ferals to shame. With a .223 very nice shooting my friend! Very nice:thumbsup:. What projectile were you using?
Oh wait sec, just remembered I have most likely eaten cat.... Cantons Wairoa's Chinese fast food :D
Now your onto it Toby. Not too many stay cats around those kind of places. Or dogs come to think of it
and jelly worms in NZ :D
That is some moggy there linyera.
Jeeze Linyera, thats some cat, closest ive been to one was in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California, didnt see it at all, but saw the huge paw prints and knew it wasnt a bear....
i was out there on my own, didnt sleep too easily in the tent that night.....
Gareth Morgan would be happy.
I have never really appreciated the killing of Big cats , Bears , Elephants , Rhino -- Im sure there are many like me to .Some things just dont need to be shot one thinks
I would shoot them if I ever got the chance, sure that's not surprising to those of you that know me.
Not surprising at all Toby and as long as what you do is legal then you are entitled to do that as far as I am concerned. What El B and Scouser are reflecting is an attitude that is somewhat akin to my own. I have never shot an animal for its value as a trophy and there are many species of animals that I simply don,t see the point in shooting. That said, I have no issue with those that are trophy hunters and do take those species as I respect their right to pursue their sport as much as I hope they respect my right to simply gather meat for the table.
I seen a big puss today but can't upload photos. perrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
thanks mates, every animal we hunt what we eat, if hunting is meaningless. In the specific case of the cougar to the pan cook it with various sauces
the 223 is a corpses making machine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
everyone will have their vision regarding hunting, mine is that if I hunt an animal I will take their meat, skin and trophy so sue me this extra time and effort
I respect all different types of hunting and those who partake in them. Never would I criticise or lecture those who have different values than I on Hunting and Shooting Forum.
Remember, hunters can be a opinionated lot. :P
I remember getting lectures from 'trophy' hunters on shooting hinds and stags who have dropped their antlers, when I was new to hunting and doing it to put meat on the table.
Talk about narrow minded archiac wind bags full off piss and bull sh*t. :omg:
so is partner, and that's what the forum, to share ideas
Well done mate. Ive been looking at a few vids of hunting in Kazakhstan. Man i would love to shoot one of those monsters.
