    Finally a decent thread...

Here is a selection of animals, some would have been on here before I'm sure. I lost my phone recently with 10 years of hunting photos i didnt have backed up so these are what I cold find elsewhere.

My first and only trip to Stewart Island, 10 years ago. This was when i was living in the North Island and was proabbly the first big trip for me. Fair to say any whitetail was going to be good enough and after a few days of stumbling around and spooking plenty, I shot this buck. Shot in November/Dec and he was very skinny with an old broken back hip that had healed. Jaw aged out at 9 years old, so while he probably would of had a nice wee head if left a bit longer, I was still happy to get a truly mature animal. Shot with Sako 85 243

Next is my first Tahr. Again i was living in North Island. Pretty cool old bull heavily broomed and in some awesome country. This was the first animal I got mounted. 12 3/4. Shot with Tikka 300wsm.

My first Chamois, followed by my 2nd. Absolute tin ass, landed and had this on the ground within 2 hours. We spent another 5 or 6 days up there and came home with some nice animals. I ended up shooting a winter headskin and got it mounted. 10.5" with some character. The other one is somewhere around 9.5" from memory. Shot with 300wsm

Another more recent Tahr, a nice head at 13.5". I shot another 13" unicorn not long after, sorry dont have a photo. Shot with Blaser 280AI

Wap bull from the edith. Been in plenty of times, only animal i have seen with age to him. Was bugling like crazy. Ended up shooting him on the first evening as from previous experience you could go the rest of the ballot without seeing anything. If you expect to go into these blocks and be constantly stumbling upon animals you will be sadly dissapointed. Ended up being aged at 9 1/2 years. 44" long, 11 points. Shot with a forbes 308.

Some good looking trips and animals @PerazziSC3 awsome work on the wap great age on him to boot. Iv seen a couple of very young big wap takin while sifting youtube to try and pass the days that were pretty disappointing 3 year olds with 50"+ potential simply taken because "compared to a ruahine red" they were shooters

My eldest when he was 10yrs old, buck went 9 3/4". Was one of 3 bucks that came down to check us out, rut was just getting going, so they would investigate anything that moved.
Brno Fox in 222, great gun for the kids to shoot.
