I'm sure its already been mentioned by the hypocrisy of the Greens saying nothing while marine reserves are cancelled and cameras are pulled out of fishing boats and then pulling this crap is off the charts.

Vote labour , get the greens. Once they are done with tahr it'll be Wapiti next.

She will be the ex-Conservation Minister soon, but not soon enough. She will have done untold damage by then. It’s a disgrace when she has no electoral mandate at all. Sneaking in an additional cull while she and the Greens have some influence. Labour are as much to blame but will do nothing about this as they will win the election at a canter anyway.

I have told my Labour MP (Tasman and West Coast) that he will lose my vote if this bull cull goes ahead.

This is really pissing me off and that doesn’t happen often. Is it not as easy as Stopping the court action and getting f&b, doc and the tahr foundation in a room to try and sort something out. And if that fails then court action the only thing I can think is maybe she thinks f&b will win then the cull will be out of her hands although she wants it anyway

I haven't looked into this myself, so would like the opinions of those who have.
Do DOC and F&B seriously want to eradicate all game (pest) animals from DOC land?

If so, do you think they'll have the funding/resources to do this beyond the current things they do? (Green rain and WARO)

    Alarming stuff

Very disturbing, I have written to my MP (fat lot of good that will do) and made a donation (second time to the right lot haha), and I feel it is part of deeper cancer that has the potential to eat the vitality of our youth - I see far fewer young people out in the mountains these days than I did as a youth myself and have to surmise they are all in cities sitting behind computers (which is fine as long as they "know" the other exists and get out there sometimes).

I wonder if attacking the issue with politicians from a societal point of view would gain any traction - probly not - they are all fixated on "the economy", but forget that we all need to feed our souls with risk, wild and grand vistas etc - what tahr hunting is all about.

No , she's completely unaccountable to an electorate. Despite what the overseas press think about the Jassiah her party only got 37% of the vote at the last election so her reign of error relies on her coalition partners so she throws them a bone to keep them onside like destroying the tahr population.

Btw people thinks its amazing she wore a hijab, imagine if some nutter in the states killed 50 mexicans and Trump turned up to the memorial wearing a sombrero?

Up to 28K, its almost as if hunters/shooters care more about Tahr than the rifles they once owned....
