    Tahr hunting ?

    Hi guys . Just new to the Forum but been reading for a while. I have some time off coming up and keen to concentrate on targeting a tahr.
    Just wondering if the animal numbers are high in the Rangatata or drive abit further to Tekapo/Pukaki/Ohua areas.

    All have plenty of tahr. If you don't have 4WD or the rivers are running high go to the west side of Pukaki or valleys off Lake Ohau.

    Thanks Meathunta I have a 4x4 but dont really give it death as I mainly go out on my own. This will be my first hunt on Tahr so any pointers would be appreciated.
