Turners tannery in Leeston do such a good job for a decent price it's almost not worth the hassle. Baking soda and kerosene is the old school way of doing it though, cheap and comes out alright

don't bother with kero , it cures it but its not soft , do the skin some justice & either pay someone or get the rite product

$380 from memory, theres a lot of work involved in tanning a bull tahr as their hides are so thick. Generally takes 4-6 months depending on how much sun he gets so they can cure, plenty of time to save up if need be, but it comes out perfect compared to trying it on your own
