Thread: Thar and Chamois

Hi Fullas
Was just wanting some General info on somewhere around Central Otago for me and my mate to get out and put some yards in to get our first look at some Thar and Chamois have never hunted them before and have no idea where to go any info would be appreciated.

google the tahr feral range then pick anywhere within that and climb. theres a lot of tahr around you just need to work hard to get them. you might find the occasional easy one or two. i head up towards mt cook usually anywhere up there is good so long as you stay outside mt cook national park as the cull the crap out of it. theres still tahr in there just far fewer. let me know if you ever want a tag along on your trips. i live in wanaka.

Yeah I will have a look thanks. Will see how i get on over Christmas but could be a go would be good to get out with someone who knows a bit about what they are doing. I am going to be at the family crib over in omakau over the Christmas break so will keep your offer in mind.
