Edwards might not be opening at all this season

I have spoken with the DOC officer who oversees the St James Area and had a wee update on roads ect



Top House Road – Is now Open (This is the road that takes you up to Lake Tennyson

Mailing Pass – Open (The customer needs to do the normal process of submitting a form on DOC website & applying for the combination for padlock)

Edwards Pass – Closed to Vehicles (Edwards Pass is looking like it may not open at all for vehicles this summer, it has sustained a lot of damage – so it is only open for Cycling, Walking & Horse Riding)

Thats a shame, we were looking to head in there for a dip in the pools.

I was planning on taking my wife for her first trip to those pools too. They can still be reached by mountain bike though if you are into those.

Bit of a shame, too many idiots in 4wd making a mess? Biked in there last winter and had a soak... was hoping to take the missus in with the truck. Didnt see any animals either! Scotties hut is a nice one though complete with lights
