Nice Wallow
Geez you guys must have kind bosses. When that lockdown lifts I'll be straight back to work making up for lost time
Hopefully things with the virus are tracking better than thought an everyone gets to go out and play or back to work on the 22nd.
Heard that some districts may be dropped a level before others for obvious reasons. However level 3 if that is what is dropped to, it is said will have stricter restrictions than before.
It wouldnt surprise me if they try to continue to stop outdoor activities under level 3. Long distance travel will still be definitely restricted imo. I know the coast want to remain shut to outside visitors.

Northarm I'm may hopefully if we can fly. Might nip out check a new bit of private for a fallow freezer as well.
Will try knock over a few pre winter John dory as well before winter hits
Hopefully my piece of plastic will arrive , so I can get all sorted with a proper firearm instead of my air rifle and shoot some more bunnies and feral cats at a greater distance.
Only want to shoot on the family farm so not wanting to go anywhere really.
Been waiting since end of last year after completing all the required documents/interviews/course. Patience is a virtue or so im told !
Quote.. I know the coast want to remain shut to outside visitors.
Probably easy to do mate..one way in ,one way out....setup a roadblock at Westport/greymouth/kumara junction..............Haast........done and dusted mate
I’m starting a new job at the end of July and I’m free until then.
If there’s any good in this it’s that I have done @biut 12 months of DIY and land improvements in 3 weeks. I will have earned a hunt or two by the time it’s on again.
I'm still working, every second day though, and getting full pay. I feel a bit shit about it, so am helping out a couple of mates who have lost total income, and don't qualify for any govt subsidy. I got a message not to go in today, which means I miss a day in lieu, but have plenty of leave, so as soon as I can, I will be out there looking to get something in their freezers. When I say I'm working, all we're doing is going in, and sitting surfing the net basically.
Yes - Coromandel - Whangamata etc - all saying nearly like normal Easter
Puts huge strain on small food outlets
Mayor of Coromandel apparently said can see cars coming at rate of "1 per 3 min" on main access road in - in middle of night :-(
My mate down Jackson wont be happy about the strain on his Wine supply from Haast 4 Square then :-)
Yes - and Winni putting pressure onto not bankrupt the economy over this
Just hope it not spike in next 10 days as I a feel she will go to L 3 on 22nd too
But these selfish c~~nts going about near normal social networking etc - need flogging !!
I am guilty of having the Kimber on the Quad whilst checking my property = but I not risking any spread or contagion from socializing/interacting with other humans outside my home.
You would eh. I know someone that went over for an op at the hospital on Thursday. Coming back today. Didn't get stopped on way over but his sister who drove him over did on way back. They had to get essential travel forms from hospital as well.
Think yesterday they put a proper checkpoint in somewhere.

It took my dad a lot of courage to ask me not to come home for tangi... he knows how close we were..... I would have had to have 2 weeks of quarantine, plus he felt people might not show up due to me getting off the airplane and going straight to the tangi.... fair enough....it would have been selfish,.... my brother would have called me a COCK as well....... still,it plays on my mind to this day
Holed up????,,.... considered front line and still flying,no international, consider myself very lucky and not sure how long it will last...... after reading and hearing from mates at AIRNZ,and others ,I have no right to complain about anything ...... our loads are generally 2% of the available seats ,if that.....it’s one thing to lockdown 5 million, another to lockdown 380 million...... the seams are starting to tear, and something will give.....
We all knew there would be fuckwits who will/would never comply, for various reasons,.... conspiracies, of real, never get me,..even ..fuckit!!
...... uncharted territory is always dangerous
Cops I've spoken to said they ain't wanting to stop drivers for checks as it's just more potential exposure for them.
I only have one trip planned.... Home! which I do not expect to be for some months yet and after two weeks at a govt holiday camp.
And when I get home I will sit on the veranda... stare at the view and see how much Caol ila I can put away.

I’ve posted this photo in another thread before
But I’m going out for about 4 nights to try catch up on this fella
Then after that, fair bit of tahr hunting
@LBD you have superb taste. Good luck with your travels.
Booked a chopper optimistically for the 23rd
My mate(they're actually his mates) was telling me they don't, and I didn't ask. Another one was laid off, his work permit application hasn't been processed yet, yes he did things arse about face moving to NZ, but he only went to 3 interviews, and all 3 wanted him to start next day, they were so desperate to get staff, cash was no prob for them.
I've been walking with my pack each day for a couple of hours and that gives one a lot of time to think.
The trip concept I have in mind now after a bit of scheming is to do "pass throughs", starting on one side of a range and finishing on the other, hitching back to the truck. Pretty easy to start locally with the like of the Princhester, then maybe a trip out of the Ahururi, then if I can find some dumb bugger to tag along, one of the "great" passes next summer (the Copland or the like). I have to disclose that my name on the other forum is "Armed Tramper" - and there is a reason for that!
Following advice from @Stocky I've just invested in a rifle that will take down and go in my pack. I also have 38 first cousins (mother side) scattered about the place so there's usually one handy enough to at least get me to "civilization" (most of them are not in cities or even towns . . . )
I just want to find a landowner with property to shoot bunnys on..
As for big trips the only one I've got set in stone is an "old school" trip through to the interior of the Ruahine sometime in June with a mate. "Old school" being using as much of the old deer cullers gear as we can get away with/find. Swannies, bullers , old 303's, frame packs etc. It will almost definitely be hard and cold but with any luck there won't be many people about and I'll come away with a different experience in terms of hunting.
Other than that, bush hunting winter sika for a week somewhere and maybe tick off some historic huts in the Whirinaki if I can suss out a place to park where my vehicle won't get jacked.
