    Umukarikari Track.

I went up to the start of Umukarikari track today planning on going up to the tops to camp the night and have a look around since I haven't hunted the Kaimanawas before. However when I arrived I noticed 2 lots of broken safety glass and bits of a broken tail light in the car park, which put me off leaving the car for the night.
Has any one had problems up here?

    Is the Urchin track safer?

Have never had problems there mate it's normally pretty safe. You could leave your car outside your house and it will still get broken into. Just don't leave anything valuable lying around. Urchins not far from umukarikari I would say if they hit one they would be hitting the other too. Don't let them detract you. You'll forget you even own a car once you check the view out up there

Could be some womble, who can't drive, backing into someones tail lights !
    Generally pretty safe around there.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
