The "consultation" with the public and hunters is a sick joke ..... the WARO operators (all 20 of them !) get to have input and time up front to review and help DOC decide. But not so for the general public.
Just shows what a crock of shite it is and what the govt/DOC intentions are. Arseholes ! No that's way too kind .... arseholes perform a useful function.

Surely the WARO people could hunt the less accessible areas rather than the easier country, we all know recovery is important to the countries conservation values as is the recreational input but there sure needs to be some restrictions put on WARO operations.

The same thing is happening around the Wellington/Wairarapa region. You wonder how this will affect other park users such as trampers and tourists. Imagine the image it will create if tourists start getting buzzed by trigger happy choppers.
