Have a buddy in US and he's keen to come down to NZ to hunt reds in next roar. Holds a US hunting permit (they are state specific in USA).
What are the requirements for a non NZ citizen (in this case USA) to use firearms and hunt in NZ ?
Do they need to get special permit or dispensation or ?
If he's from the US he can't shoot here at all, none of them can shoot straight and they drive the cost of ammo up by using too many bullets.
But seriously, if you have a licence you can supervise him, or he can apply for a temporary licence of his own.
Be with him under direct supervision and your fine. Done that a couple years back with a yank mate.

I have just done a hunt or 2 with some americans that were here for the month. just did the whole under supervision thing and scored them some free range animals.
