    Wanaka day Hunt

    Hey guys...

    Never hunted up Wanaka ways before...
    A childhood friend from Aussie is Holidaying there next week and wants to see some country, and I wouldnt mind a hunt as freezer is getting low! I'm a little short on research time.... Sooo.... Wondering if anyone would like to share any info with me on likely doc spots up there..

    Going up next Saturday night, meet, have a feed etc, get some sleep then nice early start Sunday, for a full day exploring. Camp at a hut Sunday night.. Quick morning glass then shoot straight back out as have gotta be home in Invers mid arvo Monday..

    Any suggestions appreciated...

    Not after spot x guys... Been looking on the doc website today but undecided... Needs to be 2wd access I should have mentioned too.

    Just passed through... The guy at Wanaka DOC was super helpful.... Just couldn't get passed all the Chinese tourists everywhere!

    Only place I have hunted up that way was timaru creek. There are tahr up the top end and reds and some chamois. I haven't been in there for 5 or so years though. Chamois were just inside the bushline
