Na, missed out... At last minute we decided to split our party of 4 into 2 parties of 2. The other guys got Wild Natives 1st period... Jammy bastards... I have a plan B instead though (told them it involved bombing up Wild Natives... I wouldn't do a thing like that!) Rakaia Reds it is for me.

Not a bad back up plan though... I reckon a party of 2 is the way to go...

Depends on how much gear you have already really. transport is about ~$500 per person if you get good back loads and you're not on one of those coastal blocks. Dehy meals for 10 days....

Depends where you live, but we did our entire trip for about $700 (ish) all up per person.

-Flights from AKL to QTN rtn about $260
-Car park at airport about $35 for 10 days
-Bus QTN to Te Anau rtn about $70
-We scored a ride to Te Anau downs the next day for free, but this would be another $50 rtn
-Night at Motor Inn about $40
    -Food about $200
-Boat ride rtn to/from Wapiti block about $150

$35.00 for 10 days car parking? Clearly not Auckland KJ otherwise it would be $350.00
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Park N Fly - just off Sir William Pickering drive Rushy, only 3 to 5 dollars a day. They run you to the airport in a mini van.

Vern Thompson. Roughly worked out at $600 return/split 5 ways. The heli would have cost $2500/split 5 ways. We only had 5 people between the two parties in the block, as one dropped out.
