    What Remington??

    Hi All a mate of mine is looking for a new gun probably a 270 and is considering a 770 series remy. Your thoughts Please.

    Nooooooooooooooooo! He will hate a 770, probably the worst built rifle i have ever handled, a norinco is better.

    Seriously save another couple hundy and get a howa, vanguard, savage, marlin etc.

    I promise you will regret getting a 770!

    Model 700 is the only remington option here. I have two!

    Yep, 700 or Model 7, the older models like 788 are good too, so basically everything else is good except the 770 POS!

    Rather get a decent second hand rifle than a new 770.

    Agree, 700 or 7. Just don't get a 770

    I agree with all above I have a Model 700 and its smooth and crisp, Ive shot with my mates 770 and its a pig of a thing would rather a lee enfield with open sights..Honestly I would.
    some good .270's come up on trade me all the time, Remington 700, Tikka t3, savage...buy right the first time and spend just a little bit more money

    I've got 1, 3 shots 2 Deer wtf. It's only a rifle and it's light as, suits me.

    Agreed by me too - they will still shoot deer, but just not worth the potential hassles

    I wait with baited breath for these potential hassle's and if they happen I will go back to the seller and seek reparation. So far Happy camper here
