What would it take....

Been thinking alot just recently (actually, always in the back of my mind) about the threat to our hunting (Thar Cull, consistent 1080 drops, UN resolution to eradicate all introduced species) ... including Trout and Salmon.

Realise that we can have our say in the polls at voting time, however thats 3 years of waiting, plus no guarantee that the current mob won't be voted out and anyway, National probably wasn't much better with old Maggie Barry / Nick Smith.


So, my question is what would it take to introduce leglisation to protect our game animal and fresh water fishing - not talking about the GAC but leglisation - similiar to Queens Chain to protect our long term rights in this country.

As a new Act, it would need to be sponsored by one of the major parties, introduced, public consultation, two readings and amendments and passed by a majority of the house.
So basically what Shearer said.
