I never quite understand as to why the weight [lack of] a rifle is so important when the general idea is to shoot an animal that weighs far more than any rifle...this animal will be carried for many hours and at the end of it only the meat and maybe the skin will be kept. Take a look at what is thrown away at the end of the hunt and one wonders why we dont just bone out in the bush.
when time permits this is a good option but if you shot one in the arvo it dosnt always allow time to bone out.
