Thread: Whitiau Scientific Reserve - Wanganui - rabbits, info wanted

Per the title, can anyone tell me if the Whitiau Scientific Reserve is worth a wander to get the kids their first rabbits.
Keen to get the young ones out over Christmas, and see per the Doc website that permit for .22 is available for the area.

Just wanting to know if its worth it and if car is safe left at road end etc...... just the standard questions for someone out of town
Not after anyone's secret spot.
Had the kids practicing on a single shot, suppressed .22 - they are getting very accurate on paper - now to move onto teaching to hunt.
