    Who knows their shit?

Came across this spore at the top of my property. I’ve seen goats up there before but not deer, although there are allegedly a few rogue reds and fallow about. Any experts able to tell me which? I’m leaning towards fallow based purely on size, but I suppose it could be a young red?
Bonus pic of a wee porker I shot at the same time (Sunday avo).

A fallow hind is my guess too.

They seem quite capable of hiding in plain sight in crappy grass, scrub and other small patches of cover, and appear happy being in close contact with human made sounds (tractors, quads etc etc). I am spotting a few turning up on my farm now. During the rut a stag was hanging around down by my cattle yards (could smell him). But buggered if I could see find. Spotted him the other day and he's WHITE!!! So really unsure about my eyesight now. Cant find a bloody white deer in a green farm now

Looks like goat shit, and since you've seen goats there before that would make it more likely to be a goat. Im sure we've all spent time looking at goat shit wishing it was a deer

It never fails to amaze me when you go hunting with a so called expert, they approach a piece of shit like they are the best tracker in the world. They sniff it, lick it, roll it, flick it and then they say words of wisdom like "we are very close" and you don't see anything for the rest of the day.

I bet you don't know what salty shit vs sweet sweet shit indicates.

I know my shit since I check in the bowl every day.
As for a spore, it's the weirdest looking mushroom I've ever seen.
If it walks like a duck, and shits like a duck, I would say it's a goat

Fresh pelletised shit usually smells like its owner. Squash it between your fingers and it should smell like sheep/goat/deer. Simple.

No and I don't plan on doing a taste test, I think I'll save that for wine.
