Thread: Wild deer roaming Whanganui! C'mon people, where's the hunters?

    Crazy how you see the sika in Japan around the temples and moose in Canada in streets and houses and highways and all the media do is another beat up howling with hysteria.

    not to mention bears in alaska etc...where ALL cars are left on street with unlocked doors so anyone can take refuge should the need arise.
    the photos of multiple deer resting in shade under trampoline also comes to mind.

    now put your tinfoil hat on...and link this to the other story re the MPI and twigs n tweeters trying for mass distruction of deer and pigs and you get....... permission to do whatever it takes where ever they want.
    so a few deer walk into town and chew up Mrs Jones prised kakabeak bush...it probably needed a prune up anyway,the cabbages were going to seed as hadnt been harvested and the roses..well they are just weeds anyway and will grow back. if the residents think as article says "we shouldnt have to pay to fence out pests" maybe just maybe they need to have a rethink. do they lock doors of house and car to prevent theft??? isnt that same thing???

    I see NZ Herald, that wonderful newspaper, has highlighted with "hordes of deer...." FFS
