Doesn't really matter if they can see it being blue. Wear blue myself and the movement is going to give you away regardless of what you wear.
Doesn't matter what colour one wears as the shooter always swear black and blue that it was a deer they clearly had seen...even in an open grass paddock.
Very sad a young Hunter taken way to soon, RIP young man, Avery sad time for his friends and family too.
I learnt that too.
But, few years ago I was sitting over some open ground, wearing blue swanny and hi vis orange vest.
Hind with a fawn came out feeding and had no idea I was there until I moved.
All it took was for me to move a hand and she boosted.
Doesn’t matter the colour, it’s movement that spoils them.
dead right dont wear much fluro myself well nato blue cap prefer me camo - sat a while back with my young nephew said sit still - young fallow stag 30 meters away grazing looked in our direction a number of times but no reaction went on for 10 mins ( not allowed bucks on this private block ) in the end was talking him " Ya stupid ' you will get shot " he would look up and stare around but would then go back to grazing - we were not hidden we were sitting with our back to a fence - eventually he got a puff of us and off - nephew was impressed - He got his first deer later that day saw at least 50 fallow good day
You should be able to wear a deer skin swannie and an antler hat and never be shot at.
It staggers me how many people must be shooting at colour possibly also associated with a bit of movement and are thinking its a deer because it looks sort of like, or similar.
Are the basics of firearm safety not taught or used anymore.
I know a few bush hunters who wear blue and they've never had a problem shooting deer over many years.
I wear it myself sometimes.
I don't feel like my success or lack thereof is any lesser or greater than other muted drab colours or blaze orange or camo.
Got to feel for all the people involved and the immediate victims family.
So sad and yet so preventable.
Blue is all good except for my colour blind hunting mate who can't see blue.
My partner doesn’t believe in accidents she believes the are mistakes form someone being careless, I tend to believe her now[emoji22]

The above situation just makes my blood boil.Somebodys young son, brother, familly member just taken too soon.Caus somebody thort he was a deer.
There is no such thing as an accident - unless you get hit by a bird falling dead from a heart attack or similar.
EVERYTHING else is the result of something someone, or several people, either did or did not do.
This poor young man had beaten cancet twice. Just so very sad for him and his family.
i could have shot a hunter a couple of times over my hunting life if I shot at colour and movement without identifying my target 100% not 99% its got too be 100% and even if I do identify it as a deer, I still will not shoot it unless I can shoot it in the right place to kill it
