Can I borrow your .710 ball end milling cutter then @MSL
I had a try at a .510 ball mold last week and it ended up with a wider equator and slightly flat poles
But you learn from wrecking things like that
Lee make one - Reloaders Supplies probably have one in stock
Be more involved and less impressed.
@muzza
Lee seem to stop at 62 cal / 20 gauge balls
Brown bess and breech loading balls are a bit large for patch and ball muzzleloaders
Damn. Sorry.

jim160 is supplying 12 gauge balls to me and has a source of more. Mention of 10kg and above was made.
“There was a moment's suspense while Conscience and Sheer Wickedness fought the matter out inside him, and then Conscience, which had started on the encounter without enthusiasm, being obviously flabby and out of condition, threw up the sponge.”

I just had a 73.5 done for my bess, looks good but I have yet to use it. It took about 2 weeks to get here from England which I thought was good. Around $100 if I recall correctly. Was 33 pounds plus freight.
Bear in mind they don't come with handles, but Lee/Lyman style handles fit. Also they are a pretty basic mould without sprue cutter, but the machining quality seems good.
