I wouldn’t be shooting modern ammo in that looks like an old Twisted or Damascus barrel
I had one the same and it certainly wasn’t proofed for modern ammunition
H&r have been making that basic design for years though and still makes similar today
If you take the barrel off and send a photo of the proof marks I would be able to tell you
Wouldn’t use it as a bail gun with slugs though

Nice gun though mine shot very well with black powder loads

Could be wrong though just checked some photos of my old one and didn’t have reinforced breach stamped in the side
Just looking at the photos looks like theres lines in the steel Indicating twist or Damascus steel
    But could be wrong

With a dent in the barrel like that it was definitely the right option.

That would make a cool coach gun
If you made sure it was shootable apart from the dent get the hack saw and cut off behind the dent 18-20 inch barrels and Black powder loads most fun you will have with your underwear on

A bit hard with this one. Action welded closed and firing pins removed. Checked with AO on requirements before I put it up.

Couple of nipples, drill a depression in the hammers and go in from the front.
