    .17 mach2

Hi want to buy a .17 mach2 prefer semi auto

    But will consider anything

As this is a semi obsolete caliber I want it for pinking and if I can find ammo then a bit of bunny and turkey busting so cosmetic condition is not as important as being accurate '-)

Prefer northland down as far as auckland but if your happy to ship then that's cool
    .thanks

H&F whangarei had a BA Marlin one, you'll probably get it for next to nothing considering you cant buy ammo for them anymore.

Serious Shooters have/had quite a nice Marlin

EDIT: A semi auto, forget if tube or mag fed

Stay away from the semi's for your own personal safety. In a semi, the round has a bad habit of rupturing cases out of battery, blowing bits back at your face.
I bought a brand new Bunny Buster when they were being made and on the third round it blew out the side of a case, blowing the extractor off the bolt and spitting all the bits back at my face. Its not worth the risk.

Here's a photo of the actual case and the head of the bolt with the missing extractor …….

I have a Marlin bolt action available with what I believe is a Remington .17 barrel fitted. Blued, synthetic, threaded barrel, scope bases, mag, and super light trigger.
Comes with 1500 rounds of CCI 17gr VMax, and 500 rounds of Eley VMax.
I've only been using it for shooting rabbits around the house as its less ricochet prone than the .22LR, but have had to transition to the air rifle due to noise (read neighbours).

$1000 plus freight, and will only be sold as a package.

Sorry for hijacking, but what is the most common 17. Planning ahead for a purchase, so looking for the 'popular' one which every shop has ammo on the shelf.

I thought they stopped making .17 Mach2, or am I thinking of something else?
