I've got one of these & it's a cool little rifle, Just a reminder to any potential buyers - With the pictured pistol grip these are now classed as an "E-Cat"

Actually is. There's actually recent case law to suggest that even adding a screw alongside the existing screw holding the grip on might be enough to satisfy "affixed at 2 points", and it's case law the Police don't really want to have to test (imagine that, stupid laws, stupidly written = wriggle room). Not something I would go anywhere near personally though. The bit of plastic idea works, I see them all over the show, no issues

Depends on the arms officer you encounter mate, some state that its not legal if it looks homemade (ridiculous but I have heard it said) others will agree that so long as the pistol grip is connected from the base to the buttstock then it is no longer free standing and therefore A CAT.

I did it years ago ,to an SLR,when they brought in the new licencing rules . I dont know if those rules are still the same. Then, I simply wanted time to sell it in order to recoup my $$$ instead of the lousy $200 they (police ) were offering. I also removed the flash-arrester, and cut-down one mags capacity. I got mildly nagged by them, for the 6 months it took to sell. They agreed that they couldnt take it, after I told them my Lawyer said it was 100% legal. I made that up, and they never asked who my Lawyer was... Today, I can appreciate why an SLR is E-cat, but a .22 ??... and yes, I've come across "those" arms-officers, they make-up more BS than most of us .
