    .22 bullet packets

    Good evening,

I have recently bought a box of Winchester 555 .22 rounds so I can take a group of boys from school rabbit shooting up the Mackenzie as an end of year trip.

I was wondering if anyone has any old packets from .22 ammo that I can place my rounds in for storage as the 555's are all in one box.

I'm happy to pay shipping as will be taking boys away next Tuesday.

    Regards
    Cameron

Id always wondered if drinking straws would be any good for that sort of thing. Got loads of empty packets, but there are bound to be tons nearer to you. Just an idea

Please don't call them 'bullet' packets! They are ammunition packets, or cartridge packets. Only the ignorant news media calls ammunition 'bullets'.

Please dont be offended Gundoc by my "ignorant" use of the word bullets as opposed to ammunition or cartridge.

Ultimately my post is still the same, I am wanting "ammunition packets" so I can safely and accurately count the number of rounds the boys use when I take them hunting in a weeks time. I am trying to get boys into the outdoors doing something I really enjoy.

Thank you Bully and Tommy for your feedback and advice, I think Ill be in touch with the local pistol club and range in the hope of getting some cartridge holders!

I use zip lock bags as they make less noise and count at the end if need be. They dont rattle the same in the pocket and fit in your bags, etc much easier.

Yes, but they are Americans who can't spell or understand English! Words like aluminum, center, color, etc. The crap English that the US uses only began in the 1950's, prior to that they used proper English but clearly it was too difficult for them master in the post-war era. Mind you, our current crop of teachers in NZ seem to struggle with the basics as well, and the unintelligible garbage that is promulgated in texts these days does not help! When misbehaving little bastards are sent to the 'naughty chair', and teachers wear tee shirts and track pants to school, it is no wonder standards are slipping. My two grandsons (6 and 11) are coming to stay with us in the New Year. They will get plenty of time on the hill and learn a bit about animals and their habits, but they will also be more appreciative of English before they go home!
