    22 Target rifle wanted

    Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a .22 target rifle (for indoor shooting mainly).
Prefer a BSA International or similar. A bolt action is a 'maybe' as prefer the Martini action really, but what do you have?
I'm wanting to help get my daughter into shooting too, and the club rifle she uses is a left handed!!!!!....and she's right handed.
Hope one of you can help.

So get her used to the left action, us South paws have to make do with a right action a fair bit...

On a more serious note I find a r/h action better for shooting off a bipod / rest as trigger finger stays still and r/h works action

Yeah, this will be for proper indoor 'small bore' target shooting.
So a BSA (Martini action) would be good, otherwise the choice is limited to an Anschutz bolt action target rifle I guess (and that could be a tad too dear).

My elderly Dad has a BSA International 22 Target rifle that he is now no longer using. Im sure he'd let it go. He use to compete with a bunch of other old timers in a sub-class in manawatu, the old boys used scopes rather than aperture sights etc, so it doesnt have the aperture sights, and i know hes taken the big scope off it.

Ive shot the thing at one of his club nights and its a tack driver. Im sure it has some kind of bipod on it and is all in a case.

Feel free to make an offer and i'll pass it on to him.

    A photo or two possible?
    No sights at all now?
The aperture sights are needed really.

Ive asked him to get some pics, yeah he never had the aperture sights for it, were removed and scope fitted before he got it, as used in the old boys class. I assume that aperture sights will be able to be fitted to it.

I have a C M 2 Vostock, target rifle, they are pretty good for the money, would be looking for $400, dont know the age, but its no where near new. Has a bunch of the original russian apetures and lenses and things.
Its in a typical wooden case, if you are interested in it I will take some photo's

Its a bolt action, right hand bolt, adjustable butt plate.

    Looks like this
    Bang on Target: Catalog

I was going to do small bore to help with practice for fullbore, so I havent actually used it yet indoors, just on a few targets to see how it does.
You are welcome to try before you buy. The sights are a little different to the run of the mill but work perfectly and heaps of inserts. Ask around at your locl club ....someone can advise you for sure.

Ive got the sights off a Martini if you end up with the 22 off GWH - they are the aperture front and rear, so you could end up with the best of both worlds.

The one in TeAwamutu is a bit cheaper though. I nearly grabbed it myself

Oh nice, just spoke to Dad, he'd be happy with $250 for the BSA international 22. It's in very tidy condition.

Thanks @Wingman. Sadly, the TM one is pick up only.
    But, thanks for the thought.
I'll call Te Awamutu tomorrow, and then work out the best rifle for the best price.
Daughter (she's all grown up and has her own family now...and I don't know where the years went either!) has decided that it will be hers as she has joined a club here in Nelson, and is shooting with a club rifle but needs her own one.
I will get one too as I used to shoot small bore.
So, if prices work out I'll be looking for 2 now.
