    223 AK Mags

As I have brought a NHM90 in 223, I am now looking to see what magazines are available for it in 223 cal.

If anyone has one or 2 they want to sell, please PM me and we can discuss prices.

and does anyone know any company that will export them from overseas.

I am also keen for an original butt and pistol grip

Brownalls is your best bet for all that-two mags and stock and grip may even be under the us$100 limit

Pro mag and tapco make them. You can modify AUG mags to work. You could possibly mod G36 mags to work. You can also get AR mag adapters which is what I'd look at.

The stock A cat steel mags have huge followers that you can cut down to make them probably up to 10 shot so dont discount them. I made one 8 shot with room to spare. Its around 10 minutes work with a hacksaw.
Yes my old one was E cat for any forum legal eagles....

I got mine on a $1 reserve on trade me.
I saw it and thought, oh I will put a bid on and see how it goes. I only did 2 bids and ended up winning. Did the same thing with a sks. I got the NHM90 for $695 and the SKS for $288.50.
Still haven't shot the sks yet. its just sitting there.
Hopefully I will shoot the NHM one day.

I watched that auction in case it went for cheaper but in the end you only saved $5 on the sale price. Still a good deal though.

Yes it's the only time worth buying from them unless you are desperate.

I only ever look at the $1 reserve for a bargain. Don't trade with them otherwise.
Has anyone converted the Steyr mags or ARmags to fit the NHM90.

I have done steyr mags to fit a 223 sagia and I'm sure the process is just as easy for a norinco. Have done both adding plastic to the sign mag and filing to fit and replacing the whole top with the top of a sagia mag. Option b made the more durable result for me but looks very ghetto. Have seen some option a mags done by a professional plastic worker that would be what I tried to do if I had to again.
But as the cost of aug mags seems to be climbing...

The best ar magwell conversions for ak's needs to have the front tronuon milled out a tiny bit-not a job for most home gunsmiths and the time I tried to get a NZ smith to do it the result was not ideal-I note the kit maker has since stopped selling the kit and will now only sell you a rifle with it fitted or you send you rifle to them. The plastic vz58 converter kits don't work on ak's

I will give it a go with a Steyr mag. Not too concerned of how it looks, but will give it a crack none the less.
    Scouser and res like this.
