    30-30 lever action anything considered

hi guys and girls, im after a lever action 30-30 a winchester 94 or rossi ( mostly because they seem to be trouble free ) im not worried about cosmetics so long as it reliable and can hit a 4 inch target at 100 yards, iron sights are fine not wanting a scope, whats lurking in the back of someones safe that needs a new home

marlins are less trouble than rossi in 30-30. Rossi are better if you want 44mag.

Highly recommend Marlin 30-30 over rossi 30-30, have an old battered marlin 336 that runs like a dream, also have a near new rossi rio grande that has all kinds of gremlins with feeding. In saying that, though I just tidied up a rossi 92 in 357 that was more rust than rifle when I got it(couldn't even open the lever) after removing all the crud and rust and rebluing it, it runs mint. Guess the rossi just loves pistol calibers.

Yep, the Rossi comes into its own in the 357 and 44.

If its between Marlin and Rossi, Marlin 336 all day long. Especially if you want to run a scope or red dot, nice handy set up. Just about to follow scottrodds with an aimpoint on my 336 Texan.
I have a winchester 94 and 336, the winchester is light and ergonomically perfect, actions a little loose but it's an amazing design that has stood the test of time. My marlin 336 Texan has a tighter, slicker action, the side saftey and amazing trigger. just heavier unit.

i just had a look at a new mossberg l/a gun. i was not impressed. firstly it was made in south america and secondally the receiver was pot metal. i'm sticking with my rossi 44 in stainless.
