    .30 cal ammo for a m1 carbine

    Can anyone recommend good 30cal rimfire factory ammo and a place to buy it? Cheers

    When I was playing with an M1 some years ago I found that one could not buy ammo in bulk, only in those repackaged lots that were bloody expensive...ended up reloading...still got some empty cases around if you end up going that way.
    Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

    I found that the only way to shoot my m1 carbine is to reload.
    Gunworks has some fairly cheep m1 pills for plinking/competing and there is a fair range if hunting pill out there.

    There is generally a bit in the militaria and antique arms auctions.
    I think there is a militaria auction coming up in October sometime

    @chric1

    Those loaded rounds in the pics look quite strange, almost like the projectile is too small and the case mouth has been crimped drastically...

    I used to shoot m1 carbine for IPSC, and reloaded LOTS of it

    The rounds are supposed to look something like this
