    Hey I've got a bolt action 410.

Pm if interested. I've got family staying for the weekend so bear with me if I take a while to respond.

    Cheers

410 will let you down as a bail gun, unless the slugs have improved lately, found 20g more reliable.

410 solids at least the Rio ones are round ball weighing about 90 grains they give about a much muzzle energy as two .22 rounds ie 200 to 250 ftlb max. Not a lot of use except as a head shot on a large pig, as I assume you will always knife if possible.
I've shot boars with buckshot embedded in their shields.
A .22 magnum or the 20 gauge suggested might be a better option especially if UCAP (up close and personal) is how you operate.

    That would do the business.
Mind you i do know that some pig hunters carry a "kea gun" conversion of a single shot 410 and trust thats not the intention here.
