Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

Thanks, hoping to find something useful here first. Want to get a setup similar to yours.

I have got Lee dies and a mold for the original 405 grain round nose. Killed ten million buffalo I am sure it will still do the trick.

cool, good luck but keep the other in mind for later, if for no other reason than looking for fun, for the perfect bullet.

look forward to seeing what setup you end up with & your results.

i hope to post results on the .45/70 sub thread in the near future on paper patched bullets with bigger flat points . .. looks promising so far

At this stage anything would be considered over 350gr @Maca49. Will be a modern single shot rifle subsonic project, using straight WW as I have a truckload of it.

How much do you after for the dies? Is it the hollow base single cavity mold?

Its the Lyman 457124 mold, with handles. Its a solid base bullet, single cavity mold. Will kill everything on God's earth.
