    6.5x55 AI reamer, die ect.

Not going down the AI route, my new .264 Mag is a velocity monster that holds really tight groups.

-Redding 6.5 AI FL neck bushing die
-PTG 6.5X55 BJ Ackley Improved reamer
    -PTG 6.5 AI headspace gauge
-Hornady 6.5 AI hydraulic case forming die.
    -$400 all up.

Will take 6.5x55 Lapua cases ,140gn Amax, 140 Berger, 143 ELD-X or 130 Swift Scirocco as part trade.

    Pics to come.

BJ = Bob Jourdan the American gun writer who developed the 6.5x55BJAI, his version of a 6.5x55AI. There are others versions around but his is probably the most common. It was not actually developed by Ackley himself (long dead).
Bob Jourdan also wrote a good article on Ackley Improved cartridges (which I currently cannot locate) analysing the gains or lack of gains for each.
A fair few of them just don't stack up improvement wise. His one, even aside from some bias by him when reviewing it, is one of the better AIs.

Try these websites for case capacities, using water in grains, to case mouth.
    kwk.us>cases
    chuckhawks.com
    257 Weatherby Mag - 84gr water
    7mm Weatherby Mag - 87gr water
    264 Win Mag - 82gr water
If you were after 'hot' velocity, I'd think running a 257 Wea Mag reamer into a 6.5 barrel, expand the neck, load up using 257 Weatherby load data to start - name the new wildcat whatever you like
With the real slow powders and a loonngg barrel, wow!

Of course I wouldn't say the barrel will last too long

It's been done already, it is called 6.5 STW.

130 Berger at 3350 is qualifies as "hot" I think!
