    8x57

Looking at whats around in the 8x57 (or 8x64 but that's pushing it) wanting something in the slimline classic mauser look from the 20,s, small ring like a Husky 1640 or VZ33 would be preferred.

    Cheers Jeff

Now I have a 7x64 I might be tempted to "lend" you the Brno Model 21 (with the incredibly light Kettner Octagonal to round integral rib barrel) - its an 8x57, or maybe you could just have this one back

Only trouble is that since I've had it I've replaced the bit in the middle (from your manky old swizz cheesed receiver) to a brand new FN 98 commercial action - so while you don't have to pay for the stock and barrel, the action isn't free haha!!

I think I have at least one 8x57 M98 sitting forlornly in the safe . Nowhere near a svelte as Fosters one though

Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

Theres an early Husky 1640 8mil in my safe I might let go.Wearing a 4x pecar In german claws.Walnut Schnable forend & original checkered butt. All steel bottom metal.Prevailing currents would tend to float it away from WA, so how the hell get it across the ditch to Perth?

They mostly seem to come to Upper Hutt and a few to Invercargill.

I looked into building one up on a BSA action. Could not find barrels though!

about 10 year ago i was in serious shooters and came across a tikka in 8x57 used wood stock with a burris scope on it they were selling it on behalf asking $1900...... if i had the money i would have bought it apparently the guy who owned it worked for baretta and had it imported special . think he changed his mind about selling it.
