    96/22 Ruger

    Reluctantly selling my Ruger 96/22.

    Lever action .22lr
    Suppressor
1x JX1 magazine (correct mag for these, but can use the 10/22 magazines)
    Weaver scope rail
    Redfeild Revolution 2-7x33 scope

Its rather accurate for a Ruger, and trigger work was done by a previous owner - VERY nice smooth letoff.

Selling as I bought it as an alternative to a 10/22 but it spends most of its time in the safe.
Would like first option to buy it back

Rifle is in Palmerston North, and I'm in Auckland. Can deliver between Palmy and Auckland (I travel quite a bit) or courier WITH appropriate forms.

    Pics to follow

    $700

I am no fan for standard Ruger 10/22s because of consistently poor accuracy. This little Ruger however - the model 96/22 lever action is a wee gem. Had one for several years for the lad and it is one of the best hunter 22s I've come across. Short, compact carbine design, flat fitting rotary mag which does not jam as there is no blowback, quick action, and quite accurate at 0.7 groups at 50m. Youngster could put ten shots in 1" black dot at 50.

Ideal for quick shooting, and safe action for learners. This is the 22 Sturm Ruger should have kept in production. No weaknesses. If its in good condition I'd recommend it.

    Hmmm...rather like it myself.....

Sorry for the delay - as mentioned the rifle is in Palmerston North and I'm in Auckland.
These are the only photos I have of it - I'm hoping to be in Palmy mid-November, but can organize shipping.

No, the blonde doesn't come with the rifle.
I swear the wood is not as good as it looks in the photos. My intention was to use that stock as a template and make a Mannlicher stock for it.
However, life gets in the way.
