See if you can find a nice Brno 2E - They also did them as the first CZ 2E- American's. Or Anshutz 16 series - 65 Action would fit that remit.

Ideal for what you need - Mines Left Handed so not perhaps what you're looking for... but a definite great one to hang onto for the ages..

I know its not a Brno or a European make - but these rifles take some beating for accuracy

Yep, have a couple model 2s that share a bolt (had my scruffy one, and one someone lost a bolt to, an absolute minter, sold it to me dirt cheap on trademe), which I'll keep. There was a guy with a couple nice Brnos on here that I was looking at, but bought a house and that went out the window. He had like 6 or 7, inc a model 5, some 1s and some 2s. Most looked bloody nice

    @BOPR93 - I have a CZ452 2E that I was about to list for sale on here.

I have had it for 18 months and have really enjoyed it. It has been so good that I was contemplating a trigger upgrade and a Boyds stock for it to make it more target oriented.

CZ just brought out the 457 and I realised it would be smarter to buy one of those and sell the 452 as it is for someone to carry on hunting and plinking with.

The barrel on mine is 16" which makes for a handy hunting rifle with a 6" Gunworks suppressor on the front.

    PM me for more information.

Thanks for some options guys, and the advice.
    I'm considering some mod2s and maybe a mod1 brno.
Thinking it may need to be within driving distance with how hard it seems to be to send rifles now.

There's a Ruger American on here with suppressor and rings for a good price, they are great rifles I have one and swear by it. Good trigger, nice action med/heavy barrel mine groups inside 50 cents coins at 50-70 meters.

    Thanks mate.
Going for something wood blue I think.
Probably more because as you get older you do appreciate the wood/blue combination.

I had a fondle of the new CZ 457 MTR a couple of weeks ago. Bloody nice rifle, with one of the best factory triggers I have ever seen on a 22.

Fits your price range and if the varmint model is anything like the MTR, you can't go wrong with that.

Have a look at the Tikka T1x rimfires as well.
Absolute tack drivers and same stock and trigger as the T3 centrefires.

I have mine set up with the same brand scope and trigger weight as my Sako .223 and .270 centrefires.

The 457 comes in a couple of flavors.

    Yup, the MTR is heavy.

Would be worth having a look at the Royal and Varmint versions.

Kilwell in Rotorua sell them, so close to you if you want to have a look
