Hey guys @lee308 got back to me first. Just waiting for reply from him.
    Anvil is 41kg.
Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

Put me on the waiting list for the forge if the deal falls through.

I'll start thinking of ways to squeeze it into the workshop without the Mrs knowing

I got a hard on instantly seeing one that size - do I read right 254kg??!!. Now - it looks like it needs a bit of loving and hard use. Just give me the word and I will be up in an instant and relieve you of it. I am sure we can squeeze it in the back of the Corrolla.

Just had a chat to the grandson, he is on his way to Christchurch as I type, will cross over on the ferry tonight...probably a bit late to swing a deal on this trip but he is going to Queenstown next week...says he will take anvil to Christchurch for $60 so long as he doesn't go too far out of his way...back Sunday so could take it north if need be.

Just a matter of interest he is taking this beast to Queenstown as part of next weeks load...that windscreen would be a collectors piece as the second sticker in from the left is the 'carless day' sticker from yester year...probably a few members on here wouldn't even know what I am on about....I would be curious to know if it is being delivered to a forum member as one on here some time ago was looking for this type of vehicle.

another piece of government overreaction that proved stupid. I wonder if it is part of being a pollie to come up with dumb ideas that achieve nothing other than to annoy the public.

In most cases it was never effective as even back then a lot of families had 2 vehicles. Plus our local cop issued exemptions no questions asked.

The other crazy one was fuelless weekends. I remember driving from Taranaki to Whangarei with a shit load of cans of fuel in the boot. Hardly the safest situation when I reflect back.
