Exclamation Any .357 Magnum rifle out there?

Anyone know of a decent quality .357 Magnum rifle that is available?

I would love to have a mod 1894 Marlin lever action, but it seem as if It would be easier to find a set of hens teeth.

I have a set of dies and a lot of reloading components for it - had a S& W revolver before. I would like to use it as a pig gun.

Trademe prob the best bet. Marlin 357s do pop up every couple of months but the price is high. Rossi ones pop up more regularly and at a better price. Have you thought about the ruger 77/357 (bolt action), 5 round detachable magazine. The 357 and 44 magnum rifles make excellent suppressor hosts too.

    Goodluck.

Thanks mate. I am looking for something that would be able to afford a quick follow-up shot or two if the pig gets nasty.

Get the 44mag and stop worrying about quick follow up shots

357 is good, 44 is best. I've mainly only ever owned Rossi's without complaint. Used others and I like the single shot variant as well but I'd never own the Winchester again; rattly pricks of things.
The difference in noise, boot etc between 357 and 44 is not noticeable and one can down load to use over dogs at the bail. 240grains going slowly is still damn well deadly it ain't funny.

Worth dropping by your local gun shops too, i scored a second hand rossi lever for $500 from a H&F store. Real nice gun, light and compact. Yet to use it on a pig but flattened deer and goats with it. The one i got wasn't advertised, just sitting on the shelf.

Mines been bashed to buggery since and ran it over once by accident. Still works flawlessly!

Great replies! Thank you all, now I have a bit more to try than just Trade me. I will try pig hunting circles as suggested by Danny, and the local Gun shops as Dublin suggests. I am also quite interested in the Ruger mod 77 and Rossi lever guns.
I like the 44 mag, or even something heavier, like the 444 Marlin, but would like to make use of the reloading gear that I already have for the 357 mag.

Rossi lever actions are the way to go, 44mag is dogs bollox but 357mag works perfect too!

357 are still very good also indeed.
I've got a Rossi 44mag lever that I'd consider selling. Pm me if interested.
