    ar-15 firing pin

Looking for a new firing pin, have had the tip break off mine and can't seem to get one. Anyone have a spare they will part with?

have you tried NZAR15.com or serious shooters or gun city. I do have a couple in my spares but they and all my AR spares are carefully horded given the current situation with importing stuff

None at all of the above and I don't want a whole new bolt.

Brownells have them for $11.99 USD

    https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...-prod5554.aspx

As you are buying it for your own rifle should be able to get a permit (free) from your local Arms Office. The only restriction on the Brownells site for that specific part states:

    RESTRICTION

Gun Parts totaling $100 or more may not be shipped outside the United States without proper export licensing.

So as it is under $100 you should not have to pay any export fees, they will email you if that is not the case and see whether you want to cancel the purchase.

Gunsnz have JP field repair kits in stock. Expensive! but you will also get some extra useful spares.

Not sure but very likely. Could end up being the only place in NZ to buy AR parts with the way the police are declining imports of parts.

There are enough experienced machinists in NZ,and CNC machine tools in usage these days, that small parts like firing pins, barrel nuts etc could easily be made here....closing the door on imports will likely just spur on domestic manufacture of parts.
