Riiiight. Welcome to the forum, great intro. I think. You'll be lucky to get stripped receivers at that from anyone here. Especially since no one knows you and you are wanting to pick up in person. I think anyone wanting to sell would be prudent to verify through a police mail order first and then in person on pick up to ensure its a legal sale.

But that's just me being a grumpy prick. Welcome to the forum you unknown, suspicious sounding person you. Have a great day.

Yup. Because we, as a group, are facing increased pressure on our sport of choice because there are people out there who bring a disproportionately bad and frequently undue rep to licenced firearms owners as a whole.

Mate you can buy brand new, boxed stripped uppers and lowers new from Ken at NZ AR15 for $200 a piece. A mere $100 more than your price point. Ken will require the same police paperwork for mail order.

The problem you face on this forum is that you've come in cold and asked outright who will sell you firearms receivers with no credibility or legitimacy within this relatively close-knit online community. Its like walking into a bar and inviting yourself around to the home of some bloke you just met.

Best of luck with the purchase.

yeah i have been watching the news and i agree
thought id buy a ar15 receiver before i cant anymore
i may have misjudge this being an open community because its on the internet my bad

how do you build credibility going on threads giving opinions and not advice
yes nzar15 do have receivers $200 new and then they gotta be shipped so i thought second hand one for $150 was fair allowing me to spend $50 on other parts i may need

Freight would be free for both parts. And really you probably just need the lower and a parts kit for that serialised lower. Complete uppers come up fequently second hand on here or TM. There's plenty of guys here who can offer advice on a progressive build. Hell, I don't even own an AR.

Hate to bring it up but you didn't even introduce your self so its a bit like some random guy coming up to you and asking to buy a gun not a comfortable situation for some

Having built more than one or 2 AR's I would suggest if its the first one you are having a crack at then buy new. Some I have seen look like they were assembled by "Bubba the ham fisted Chimp". Also fully in-stripping a lower receiver is not that simple with out the right tools.
    Good Luck though

You build credibility by being an active member and completing some trades hassle free. You are clearly doing this build on a budget trying to knock $50 off a $200 receiver, so it's unlikely you've got the rest of the parts needed and $100 isn't going to make or break a build if that's what you're intending on doing. Go join a club, meet some like minded folk and learn from them what you're doing. Don't just try penny pinch controversial parts right out of the gate on the Internet that you're going to pick up in person. Looks suss.
