    Bacon / meat slicer Hobart

    For Sale

    Hobart bacon / meat slicer.
    All there.
Older model but works well and still includes original sharpening attachment in the top compartment.

I used to use it to cut schnitzel every time I killed a cattle beast.
    But no longer needed.

$80 and can bring it into CHCH some time if its a local.
But its big, bulky and reasonably heavy so I'm not that keen on sending it further afield.

Also heading to Queenstown early next week if there is someone along the way who is keen.

Fuck that looks like a great way to lose the end of a finger after a few beers. That said, wish I had one in my shed - Would save me sending hind quarters to the butcher for schnitzel.

Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

That's what I have used now for years.
Put the round ( that's the muscle the schnitzel comes off ) in the freezer just until it's firmer but not frozen.
Then cut ( not saw ) with a huge steak cutting knife.
Fairly quick and easy when you have done it a few times.

Says me who wants to sell a meat slicer !!
Anyway still good for someone who does bacon.

Re looking a finger the top handle on the slide protects the hand etc.
It's a lot safer than you would think.
And anyway it would be a nice clean cut... so clean you could cook up the slices.
