    Baikal 223

I purchased this earlier in the year and just dont use it as much as I thought I would. I need room in the safe so its going.

    Baikal Single shot in 223.

Somebody has stained the stock at some point and done a reasonably nice job. Looks much better than the original.
Front and rear sights have been removed, barrel is threaded.
Somebody has had a go at the trigger and it is much improved on the original triggers. Its no target trigger but its not horrible.
I havnt shot this very much, only a couple of trips to the range but it seems to shoot very well for a baikal and is not picky about ammo.
it came with a cheapo scope (which is actually ok) and some rings that will fit the baikal dovetail so I will include those for whoever buys it.

Im after $400 but im open to offers.

You bought it off Cody.a from this forum ?
Pretty sure itís the one I sold to him
Good firearm, I spent a bit of time playing with it.
I put the white spacer in front of the recoil pad to jazz it up a bit.
Still had the rear sight on it when I sold it.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

I would have but just found out I'll be moving house in a few months. Don't want the good arm's officer perving at too many firearms all at once.

I removed everything but a .22 last time they came around and he didn't even want to open the safe, just gave it a bit of a wiggle and said "yep, she'll be right"

If it's like when I got my licence they'll want to check the bolts in the walls and the floor

Last time I was inspected (3 years after notifying a change of address!) I was asked if I would like the serial numbers recorded and I just politely declined.
