    Beautiful steel scope mounts

Have various excellent condition steel scope mounts, rings and bases, including older style sako low and medium, conetrol and buehler. Can send photos from my phone. Even got a few older style Parker Hale alloy rings for old BSA and Brno rifles.

Hey Garyp, anything for a early model Brno m2 16mm dovetail I think.

What I have done on my BRNO .22 rifles is fit Ruger rings that I have modified to fit the dovetail and they look really classy. Send me your phone number and I will send you a photo as I do have a set

I have a problem here, I'm hoping someone wiser than me can solve it... #facepalm
The bolt is just touching the scope, probably a couple of mm in it

@Strummer what sort of rifle is it? I don't suppose you could do a little polishing in strategic places on the bolt handle?
Something nice and pricey maybe not. something a bit cheaper maybe a shot? Otherwise higher scope rings for you.

It's a Marlin .17 HMR. Do guys tweak the bolt to fit...or is that a real cowboy solution? I haven't had this problem before...keen to hear your wisdom

I used Weaver bases and rings on mine. The Marlins tend to come drilled and taped for them.

if you tweaked the bolt handle you may end up fouling on the stock when the bolt is closed, if you really can't stand the idea of higher rings maybe a slightly different scope may be in order ?

I filed a little off my bolt where it hit the scope. was a cheap old .22 though.

Yep, that will work. Just a nice little concave cut-out in the appropriate place and a clean up with some wet and dry to get rid of the file or dremel tool marks.

Just buy some taller rings. No point damaging a good rifle for the sake of the cost of taller rings, which should be less than the price of a box of ammo for that rifle.
