    Brno 2-E 22 bolt action

Surplus to requirements as stated, Brno 2-E 22 bolt action ( made in the late 80"s ) comes with steel magazine, blueing & bore are in very good condition, stock is nice and would come up mint if stripped & re-oiled. ( no rear sight sorry )

I brought this from a SI gun shop in January, it's a bwety little rifle but don't have time to play around with it at the mo ( haven't even fired it )

    $550 + postage

@BOPR93 - if I haven't pushed you to buy a Anshutz - You should have a good look at this one.

Anshutz is over rated imho unless you buy one of the real high dollar ones
You are better off with brno/cz they are super accurate I have had 5or 6 over the years from brno model 1ís to cz452ís
All have been absolutely deadly includeing one with a bad bulge in the barrel which still shot 1 ragged hole at 50m

I have a rear sight for one of these you can have - it's going spare if you want to make it complete? Seems like a great idea being in such good nick!

One of these was my first rifle, it could shoot the earlobes off a bumblebee at 100m.
    Of course I couldn't
Great rifles, I'll never sell mine.

I'm tempted but would want to put suppressor on and seems a shame to ruin the original nature of this

Hmmmm - literally 1000's if not 10's of thousands of these sold in NZ alone, and anyway, cutting one up makes the rest more valuable . . . .

Here ya go Peter, hope this answers the question. I brought this off Kelly Country in Nelson & was told it was a Brno but looks like it's a CZ ( I'm un sure as not my forte lol )

Yeah BRNO as in the maker of No 1s then No 2s etc ceased to exist around 1967. CZ took over manufacturing initially using parts left over from the BRNO company and then when parts ran out, finally completely manufacturing. CZ continued to brand their rifles with the BRNO label. For a period after CZ started manufacturing quality dropped off from the original genuine BRNO models. Quality did eventually pick up though in later years.

So, BRNO and CZ are two different companies.

History of the various Czech companies is very complex and a tad murky to understand particularly when Czechoslovakia was part of the eastern bloc.

Most gun shop staff don't understand the difference.
