I think it is very hard to tell the difference from the early Norinco JW15 magazine as they copied the No 1, maybe the finish ?

The No1 I have now is a parts gun so I can't tell for sure ?

I found one at the range one day. (I wonder why it was left there?)
I set it up to run in my Model #1 thinking good, a spare mag.
It was a piece of shit. I tried everthing - set the follower angle the same as my Brno mag so the bullet angle in the mag was the same as the Brno. Matched the lips as best I could. Polished the inside surfaces. Every now and again it tips a bullet up and won't feed into the chamber. Grrrr.

Might just run with a modern production mag, they seem to work pretty good

If you're not worried about matching the age/authentics the modern CZ polymer mags work perfectly in the Model #1.
When I'm having a session with my #1 I use the original steel, a CZ 5 shot polymer, and my Lithgow LA101. Load them all up and get into it.
They all work pefectly in the #1 likewise all work perfectly in my Lithgow.

The CZ mags both steel and polymer were hard to get earlier in the year. May be better now.

What's wrong with your #1 parts gun?

I bought a few steel #1 magazines from a bloke in the USA (Denny) they all arrives sealed in plastic envelopes, they all worked great and the price was great also.
Also bought a new #1 stock and #1 bolt, yes the bolt looked brand new and arrived sealed in a plastic envelope, Denny seemed to be able to source just about any #1 parts.

Well if Denny would send out a No1 barrel mine would be complete again, it is a bit scruffy & so is the stock .

I would be surprised if any one in the US would send any thing now days, how long ago did you get your parts ?

@small_caliber Have you got his contact details? I'm still chasing a butt plate for my #1.

Sorry Denny passed away a while ago, he used to frequent Rimfire Central and shared a lot of history about Brno rimfires.

If you want to read up on some of the history Denny shared

I got one to work that I had left over but it took a ton of tinkering and it was still pretty ill fitting
