    BRNO VZ33 .243 Custom Rifle

Brno VZ33 small ring Mauser action, Tikka barrel, Timney Trigger, Burris Signature Zee rings with variable inserts and older style Hardy Suppressor.

Rifle built by Mitch Maxberry (we bought it off a forum member a couple of years ago) and has been fitted to a very nice stock with the nicest glass bedding job I have ever seen. (1:10 twist / 21.5 inch barrel.)

Shoots great as you would expect, only run very mild loads for my son to shoot. (target shot by him) Pretty much only been used for easy goat hunting on farms.
Been a joy to own and cherished, just foolishly took the scope off to use on another rifle and it has sat in the safe ever since.

Also have heaps of re-loading gear, dies, projectiles if needed.

    Asking $800

Rifle in Gisborne but I can meet / deliver to Napier or Whakatane. Or happy to send through dealer network if that's the easiest way these days.

there is more than one cheap gun abaout, I cannot buy them all, so Im probably going to pass. Just got a CZ 452 17 hmr because a mate told me the older ones were better, now I need to sell my ruger m77 in 22 mag, thought I would wait and see how good the 17 is first.

I know this rifle and it’s a classy Mauser. Nice stock and good barrel.

If required, here's the list of what reloading bits can come with the rifle for a small cost.
    - Lyman 2 die set - older set but very good dies.
    - Brand New unused Lee 2 die set
    - Approx 25 Target 95 gr. projectiles
    - Approx 75 Hornady HPBT 87 gr projectiles
    - Approx 90 Hornady SST 95 gr Projectiles
    - Shell Holder
    - Hornady Comparator Bushings (the one for ogive and one for bumping the shoulder)
    - At least 150 pieces of brass

I've talked to my local dealer and all good to send through the 'Dealer' to 'Dealer' network for $50. Any more and I'll pay the difference.

Hi Pete, is this still kicking around?

I'm in the market for a nice light mauser sporter.

What is the weight incl. suppressor and what is the barrel thread?

Sorry mate, just seen your comment - yes its still in the safe looking for a new home.
The total weight on my wifes kitchen scales is 7.8 pounds (3.5kg) for the rifle, bolt, and rings without the suppressor. The suppressor is about 350 grams barrel thread is 15x1
So its definitely not a lightweight by modern standards but the VZ33 is a small ring mauser and designed to be lighter (for a mauser) and the rifle is very well balanced.
Hope that helps, i'm open to offers before she goes on trademe.
    Cheers, Pete
